Aren is mainstream, but also eclectic. He’ll defend the merits of the summer Hollywood blockbuster while simultaneously lambasting others for not appreciating the complexities of Korean New Wave. He detests pretension in film and is a sucker for spectacle. While skewing to more modern cinema, he thinks film looks best in black and white.
